Obituary of Maria Anna Mezera

GREENVILLE – Maria Anna "Mary" Mezera, 95, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in The Pines at Catskill. Born in Czechoslovakia on August 9, 1919, she was daughter of the late Frank and Maria Anna Prask Jagos. Mary lived in Greenville for 50 years. She and her husband had a farm, and she was a food service worker in Greenville Central School for 30 years. Mary was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary Agnes Hlocky and grandson, Francis Hlocky (Beverly) all of Florida; and friends, Jerry and Dolores Storey of Greenville. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husbands, John A. Jagos and William E. Mezera. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Funeral Mass will be offered Friday at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church. Spring burial will be in Greenville Cemetery.
