Obituary of Charles E. Lee

DURHAM – Charles E. Lee, 71, passed away Friday evening, January 30, 2015 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Conesville on June 24, 1943, he was son of the late Frank and Dorothy Cleveland Lee. Mr. Lee worked for his uncle's lumber business, and as a mechanic on the Albert Miller farm. He was employed for 30 years as an equipment operator on the Albany County Highway Department, retiring in the 1990's. Mr. Lee was an outdoorsman and was a member of Buckhorn Lodge and the Bucking Bear Hunting Club. He is survived by his wife, Chuivyan "Jenny" Lee; seven children, Patricia Lee (Frank Denton), Diane (Robert) Davis, Brenda (Gerald "Chris") Heath, Ann Berryann, Lorinda Burnham, Samantha Belle, and Charles (Kayla) Lee Jr.; two brothers, David and Harold Lee; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Ella Strother, Ernest and Ronald Lee. Cremation has been performed privately. Calling hours will be Saturday, February 7, from 1 to 5 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by a memorial service at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 will be appreciated.
