Obituary of Robert W. Haller

Robert W. Haller, Sr. of East Durham passed away Saturday April 11, 2015 at Columbia Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Robert was the beloved husband of Shirley (Osborn) Haller and father to Robert W. Jr. (Dawn) of East Durham and Timothy E. (Deirdre) of Delmar. Robert is also survived by his mother, Sadie Haller of North Carolina; his three brothers, Julius Haller, Jr. (Thelma) of North Carolina, Richard Haller (Ellen) of Northport, NY, and Donald Haller (Mary) of Greenville, NY; his grandchildren, Ty Haller, Nicole Byrne (Brian), Mikaylah Haller, Bryce Haller, Zoe Haller, and Shane Haller; his great-grandchildren, Xairia and Alaric Byrne; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was an avid NASCAR lover and enjoyed wood working in his earlier years. Internment of his ashes in the Greenville Cemetery will take place at a later date.
