Obituary of Patrick C. Fitzgerald

YONKERS - Patrick C. Fitzgerald, 85 years, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015. He was born on December 19, 1929 in Ballydesmond, County Cork, Ireland. He immigrated to America in 1950, served in the US Army, got married and raised a family in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx. After retirement he and his wife Maura moved to Greenville where they lived for numerous years before moving to Florida. To family he will be remembered as a father, brother, husband and grandpa; to many he will be remembered as their friend or their little league baseball coach. He was an avid runner who completed the NYC Marathon numerous times. He is survived by wife Maura, 3 sons, Daniel, William and Robert; 3 daughters in law Mary, Marie, and Marie and 3 grandchildren Lauren, Tara and Sofia. Calling hours will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 4987 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by burial in Greenville Cemetery.
