Obituary of Marion D. Cooper

WESTERLO – Marion Dunbar Cooper, 88, passed away on Monday morning, September 28, 2015 in the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness. Born on August 4, 1927 in Jersey City, NJ, she was daughter of the late Roy and Dorothy Dunbar. Marion and her late husband Robert were married at the end of World War II and settled in Westerlo. She was a homemaker and ran a ceramics shop out of her home several years ago. Marion enjoyed going to the family camp on Lake Ontario and watching her great-grandchildren swim in the lake. Marion is survived by her children, Robert H. (Carol) Cooper, Richard J. Cooper, and Gail Bushnell; five grandchildren, Wayne (Kara) Cooper, Lori (Matthew) Gebe, Steven (Mary) Cooper, Thomas Bushnell (Trista), and Allison Bushnell; 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Cooper, on August 23, 2005. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial in Westerlo Rural Cemetery.
